I’ve heard that taking beautiful pictures in Portlandia is kind of like shooting fish in a barrel. Despite my years in Texas, I haven’t had the pleasure of shooting a fish or anything else, but I can tell you that I’ve taken a lot of pictures around Portlandia and they (almost) always look amazing. There is a ton of cool stuff to point a camera at, which I have done as frequently as possible. I thought I’d share some of my favorites with the dozen or so people who read the blog (thanks, Mom). This first gallery is just a quick overview of the many incredibly photogenic sites in Portland, with many more to come.
- Someday, I’ll go back and shoot it *without* the shadow.
- You’ll love this bridge, until it screws you the one day you are running late.
- Site of the Obama rally and more beer-soaked festivals than you could ever hope to attend.
- Beyond those hills, there be dragons…wait, no, Republicans.
- The fountain is a delight to jump in…about three days per year.
- The only bridge in town that actually scares me a little in bad weather.
- The trees get a little attention-starved over the winter.
- You want jewelry made from old silverware? Yeah, it’s here.
- It’s even colder up there than it looks.
